Consumer Affairs educates the public regarding scams and fraudulent business practices.
Consumer Affairs Program provides one-on-one counseling on critical information financial literacy and Consumer Education.
Legal information- Provide legal information to individuals who experience discrimination in acquiring or maintaining housing, and lessen discrimination in housing transactions as Housing scams- home improvements /repairs, insurance.

- Protect yourself from Scams or Fraud
- Stolen or lost and Identity Theft-
- Buyer Beware- with new cars or old cars, electronics- warranties
- Problems with paying your utilities or the company is giving a hard time
- Financial Privacy-Banking, someone stole your ATM card or your check book
- Credit Fraud
Landlord/Tenant Services
- Rental delinquency
- Deposits and their use or recovery
- Obtaining rent relief from landlords
- Renter's and landlord's rights
- Eviction procedures
- Renting /Leasing agreements or rental assistance for funds
Financial Literacy Counseling
Classes cover a variety of financial literacy topics:
· Your credit and why it is important
· Managing your money
· Goal setting
· Understanding credit scoring
· Avoiding credit traps
· Restoring your credit
We provide workshops for individuals or groups:
Financial Literacy and consumer education workshops once per month
Renter information Workshops in Tenant Pre and post occupancy once per month
